About the Event:

Join us for an unforgettable evening hosted by Charlize Theron in support of the Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project (CTAOP), an organization dedicated to advancing the health and safety of young people in Southern Africa.

The evening will commence with a cocktail hour from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM, giving guests time to mingle, enjoy drinks, and settle into the experience. At 6:30 PM promptly, the six-course farm-to-table dinner with wine pairing will begin.

This intimate dinner will celebrate seasonal ingredients, thoughtful wine pairings, and the stories behind every plate and glass. Each course will be paired with a carefully selected wine, and throughout the evening, guests will hear directly from the chef, farmer, and winemaker as they introduce the ingredients that inspired the dish, and the wine selected to accompany it.

From the first pour to the final course, this dinner will offer a unique connection between the land, the kitchen, the cellar, and the mission being supported. Guests will also receive a curated gift bag as a special thank you for attending and contributing to this meaningful cause.

An elegant evening of food, wine, storytelling, and philanthropy awaits.

CTAOP strengthens the health and safety of young people in Southern Africa to unleash their power and potential. CTAOP works with their Program Partners (community-based organizations) providing funding, strengthening capacity, and bringing awareness to their work, with a shared vision of a world where all young people are healthy, safe, and able to thrive. CTAOP also uplifts young changemakers through two programs: the Youth Leaders Scholarship (YLS) and Youth Leaders Fellowship (YLF). Both programs hold the ethos that young people within communities are powerful and effective drivers of change.

CTAOP was created in 2007 by Charlize Theron, Academy Award® winning actor and UN Messenger of Peace, with the hope of making a difference in the lives of young people in her home country of South Africa.

CTAOP commits to a values-driven approach. CTAOP puts PEOPLE first and shares in our interconnectedness as humans through the spirit of Ubuntu: ‘I am because you are.’

Although the geographic scope of CTAOP has expanded, South Africa remains the primary focus of the foundation’s work. Through the years of working with their incredible Program Partners, they have learned that transformative change comes from within communities themselves.
